I have an almost encyclopedic knowledge of its history and even though I don't actively keep up with it anymore, noteworthy albums and beefs still end up on my radar.
2. It's complicated. It has much more to do with poetry than it does with music. Good production is absolutely an aspect of it that matters. Some artists are more lyrics focused and others let the production shine more. |
