The election season is quiet so far but that's because everyone has already made up their mind and there really isn't anything new to talk about. Trump and Biden aren't debating each other, the media won't cover Trump's campaign when he's not in the courtroom and they also won't cover Biden's lack of a campaign. What else can you talk about?

i recognize that it takes my tax dollars and does what it wants with them, including funding israel.
i try in my way to remove the regime, but while it digusts me, its not actually spilling my family's blood. It has not gotten to a point where I have to take up arms to shoot politicians or soldiers / get shot at myself.
seems like it has gotten to that point in palestine. I think they are probably justified to do 10/7. That's their fight though, not mine. I don't feel any moral obligation to help gazans. Seems like they should be taking up arms and doing as many 10/7s as they can, and seeking the assistance of all their arab / muslim brothers. Where are these brothers? Why has no middle eastern country said, "well this will cost us something with the USA, but actual blood is in the streets now, so we will pay that cost"?
Since I was a baby middle eastern muslims have called for the annihilation of israel. Did they think it would happen with no cost to them? This is their moment!

Because I think you are not fully understanding the power dynamics here. The same forces that allowed Americans to spill their blood then are largely responsible for propping up the Israeli regime now.
It’s perfectly fine if you don’t feel a moral obligation to help Palestinians. I just don’t want you to be confused about what is going on here. It’s asinine to ask why middle eastern nations are not stepping in when those are largely American client states with American-approved kleptocrats and strongmen at the helm. If any of them stepped out of line you would see the full force of the American empire descend upon them. The citizens of those nations cannot revolt all on their own, they would have three layers of enemies to overcome: their own leadership, Israel and then America.
We truly are these people’s only hope. And it won’t happen overnight but the tides have begun to turn. God is great, brother. |
