the partisanship has resulted in all nuance and collaboration being destroyed. people will say it out loud. libs will refuse to say anything positive about trump even if they supported some of his policies previously, and they will refuse to criticize their own politicians because that "just hurts us and helps them." MAGA gop is more willing to criticize their own party, but they are even more partisan when it comes to compromising with the left on anything.

we used to hold elections and then move forward believing that if your guy lost that meant the other guy has a mandate from the people and should move forward. the minority party would work with the other side to eek out concessions and moderate it a bit. now it's complete scorched earth. even routine appointments take ages to happen. and major legislation is only possible in emergency situations. the entire system has stalled, and any effort to return to a system that works is meant with autistic arm flapping and screeching about how the other side is evil and everything they try to do should be resisted.

As far as the US we have 4 factions, MAGA, neocon, neolib, and progressives. "MAGA" is the first new choice in a long time that actually won an election and was very competitive in another for the Presidency despite being 5% of Congress and 10% of the GOP. Compare to the progressives in Congress they are about 20% of the Dems but they have never polled well in a presidential election and seem to have no power. Part of this is because they don't vote reliably, but also because they never hold on to their values and cuck to neolibs with ease. This is the most stomped on group despite being more numerous than MAGA cons they have 0 political power. They do it to themselves!

Car cities suck, traffic sucks, parking lots suck. Everyone knows this, but libs are first to point it out, because theyre built to ID some problems and get really vocal right away.
