the start of that war made me feel like a fucking crazy person.  the MSM manufactured consent scary fast.  since day 1 of us deciding to arm Ukraine, I was looking around like, "obviously prolonging this conflict by supporting the inevitable losing country is going to kill SO many more people than if we just stayed out of it.  how is everyone cool with this?  how is 'war is bad' not a universal take among supposedly-civilized people in the 2020s?????  people are still murdering each other in cold blood – innocent young men, mind you, not egomaniacal leaders – and people think this is a good thing because... I've said for years Ukraine cannot force Russia to surrender and a deal is going to have to be cut.

But its stupid to act like Russia is "winning" and and the Ukraine defense effort accomplished nothing because Russia is going to gain some random territories of Russian speakers.

That was not the fucking goal of Russia when they marched soldiers into Kiev. The goal was not to to capture these worthless areas at the expense of 300,000 troops and increasing NATO's presence in Ukraine...
