Current Indie Games have the same problems as AAA games, tons of slop, poorly made, and garbage stories/gameplay. Most of them try to recreate the "feeling" of playing games from your childhood. Might as well play the originals. Plus there are so many that you would never complete a Retro Gaming backlog in your lifetime.

I’ve never even played an indie game for a single second iirc. They all seem GHASTLY.

I was doing this with retro btw but every 32X game on my Chinese emulation box kept crashing.

For some reason, btw, retro games never earn a place in one’s Backlog. It’s like they don’t Count. Only western developed modern games get stuck in your backlog. It’s true imho.
