Join my local National Guard for the tuition assistance.
Defer any form of deployment while I'm in school.
Graduate, drop my packet for Warrant Officer and enroll into Army Aviation school.
Graduate, spend years doing cool shit like FLYING A FUCKING HELICOPTER.
Go get a civilian gig as a pilot.
Retire from military in 15 years.
???
PROFIT!

I worked there in the very early days of the company and didn't stay there for very long. Sunny Balwani had no formal involvement with Theranos during the time I was there, and I never met him.
In fact, while I worked there, I once ran into Elizabeth at an old bookstore in Palo Alto. She was with some dude, and it looked like they were on a date. And I'm pretty sure the dude was not Sunny Balwani. It was 20 years ago, so my memory is a bit foggy, but I think I would have remembered if she was with some older Indian dude. I don't know if she and Balwani were on a break or if she was cheating on him or if he was some potential investor and she was willing to suck his cock to get him to open his wallet.
Honestly, if I could go back in time, rather than working for Google, I would have snapped a photo of the two of them on my camera phone. I bet I could have sold that photo to a tabloid for a fortune once she became a household name. Plus I just want to know who the dude was.

Yeah, I'm stretching the definition of "hot startup" a little bit, but not by much. At the risk of outing myself, I was one of the first employees at Theranos, so we're talking around 2003-2004. It was prior to the Google IPO. Google was founded in 1998, so it was about 5-6 years old at the time.

No. Tech bro. I'm pretty sure Theranos didn't have a legal department when I was working there. I'm not sure if they even had an attorney on retainer at that point.

more than anything, i'd prob go to a school in a warm climate. Maybe like University of Arizona or somewhere in Florida.
As far as a career, i'd prob go into education and be a gym teacher and soccer coach. This really seems like the absolute GOAT career IMO.
If i wanted to be ambitious, I could then go for an administrator or athletic director position down the line.
