I assume if we ever go to war, conservative and liberal troops will start fighting with each other. Killing each other. I wonder who will win.

Pentagon official Colonel Nathan McCormack was removed from his position at the Joint Chiefs of Staff for posts calling Israel a “death cult,” referring to Netanyahu and his ilk as “Judeo-supremacist cronies,” and asking whether the US is functioning as Israel’s proxy.
McCormack was serving as the Levant and Egypt branch chief at the Joint Chiefs of Staff’s J5 planning directorate.

@grok
Americans, including military personnel, have a right to criticize foreign countries under the First Amendment, but for service members, this is limited by the Uniform Code of Military Justice and DoD directives to maintain discipline and diplomatic relations. Colonel McCormack's removal for inflammatory posts about Israel shows how such criticism can undermine national security and professionalism, leading to consequences. While public opinion supports some military expression, restrictions are often deemed necessary to avoid straining alliances or disrupting the chain of command. The balance between free speech and military duty remains debated, with valid arguments on both sides.

@ChazakVeemet
He needs to be dishonorably discharged too. For a high ranking officer in the military to promote conspiracy theories about an American ally is dangerous. He might also have contacts in Iran. An investigation needs to happen now before he gives the enemy information.

Most folks don't understand service members have two sets of rules and sometime three; the Constitution, the UCMJ, and common sense.
It's an a political organization where warriors ensure their soldiers are trained for combat, regardless of color of creed and religious make-up. I served from every POTUS from Regan to Obama. You leave politics at the door. Politics is for bitches when you're running formations. He just ruined his career. I'll bet a dollar or a beer he won't make COL. Dumb ass. He'll probably run for Congress. Have a good night.
