On $150k if you have a family and need a house in a town with non-dindu schools, I’d aim for MC/UMC suburbs of T3 rust belt cities (Cleveland, Cinci, Pitt, Indy, Buffalo, etc.). Those suburbs are the closest thing to the 80s/90s we have left and that aren’t solely for the $500k+ crowd. You can do fine there on $150k - 4-5BR house with a pool, domestic SUV for your wife, occasional family days out, etc. |
