Not saying she's going to pull off the come from behind upset but turnout seems high, early voting seems high. We have no idea what the splits are in the swing counties and Trump very well may be safe but you can't count Kamala out. She's having huge rallies and her people love her. The Blue Wall state demographics are in her favor. You can't just say oh the enthusiasm is low anymore. Both campaigns are churning.
It very well may be that the splits for Trump are excellent and he could win Pennsylvania by 2-3 points and even McCormick could win too. But the public perception is shifting a little in that you can't totally count her out. And maybe she's getting just as much turnout as she needs. At this point safe to move the race to pure tossup. Coinflip, unknowable outcome.
I will say this for my election day watch hunch: I like Trump to win it going away but if it's close I like Kamala. In other words if Trump has this in the bag then everything I'm saying is moot and it will be a red wave. And this is very possible if not the most likely scenario. But in a nail biter I think Kamala is the comeback kid. I don't know why just a gut feeling developed from years of watching sports.

Anyone claiming they are highly confident their guy/gal will win based on the current state of the polls is deluding themselves. Going to be a long time after polls close before we know who wins, in all likelihood.

Agreed. What we really don't know is how people are voting. Something big is obviously happening beneath the surface but we just can't trace it until Wednesday or Thursday or Friday. 150,000 million people all doing a secret ballot independently and without any way to capture it ahead of time. It's actually very kooky in the digital age. This is the one bizarre analog ritual we have. The truth is unknowable but we all open up our collective fortune cookie and someone wins and the loser is completely devastated.
But something is happening beneath the surface for sure. Something is going on and it will be a whole story for decades to come about what actually happened.
Most likely scenario is Trump overperforms polling in the swing states and wins comfortably by 2-3 points. My second most likely scenario is Kamala last minute surge and she wins blue wall by less than a point.
It's completely unknowable but when we open the ballots we will know the truth. I think we're in for a result that will surprise everyone on both sides. The voters are sending a message, we just don't know what it is yet. Could go either way.
