bowlcut
Also known as: Bowl Patrol
Mass killer Dylann Roof’s bowl haircut is a meme in white supremacist
spaces, where self-professed fans of the terrorist semi-seriously refer
to themselves as the “Bowl Patrol” in reference to his hair cut. Many
memes referring to white supremacist mass killer Dylann Roof forego
the use of his likeness, which could potentially get their posts taken
down, and instead references to his hair cut as a coy reference.
Brainlet
Brainlet is a series of wojak images depicting a character with a small
brain, which either protrudes from their face, or has been smashed in.
The meme is often used to mock people who express differents points
of view than those of the poster, in particular in the context of political
discussions. Its use is also sometimes used to mock and dehumanized
people with intellectual disabilities.
Clown World
Clown World” is a term used to satirize modern day society. It was
popularized in spaces adjacent to the alt-right, who used it to espouse
nihilism and disdain towards the world around them, particularly in
the face of social progress. Clown world is often referenced alongside
the Honkler, a smiling version of Pepe the Frog who espouses outright
bigotry and white nationalist sentiments while dressed like a clown.
In 2019 Reddit banned multiple Clown World-themed subreddits for
“encouraging and glorifying violence”.
Coomer
Coomer is a Wojak character, depicted as withered and sickly due to
an unhealthy addiction to pornography. Though usage of this meme
is not strictly hateful, it is often used as part of anti-masturbation and
anti-pornography arguments by white nationalists and groups like the
Proud Boys, as well as in the context of antisemitic conspiracy theories
involving Jewish control of the pornography industry.
It's OK to be White
A seemingly innoccuous term that is used as a dogwhistle to convey
white nationalist sentiments. The phrase invokes the trope that “white”
identity is under attack and requires a unified response. It is popular in a
variety of white nationalist propaganda
