Date: June 7th, 2023 4:20 PM Author: Provocative friendly grandma Yes, we go to Danbury and Brookfield for Trader Joe's, Costco, etc., The mall in Danbury actually rules - it's swarming with life and teenagers and families and feels like malls did in the 90s.
That said, we do a lot of food shopping in town. Stop & Shop, the New Fairfield Food Center, Johnny's Deli and Halas Farm. We're also growing a lot of fruits and veggies this year too.
I love it here so much. It's been everything I hoped for and more. Obviously that has a lot to do with our property which is heavenly but there is so much to love about the town itself.
We go fishing and canoeing on Ball Pond go to the beach (Candlewood Lake Town Beach) Green Chimneys Farm which is basically a zoo and horse farm Happy Acres Farm in Sherman Tons of young families Understated, non-striver wealth Extremely safe and people take very good care of their properties and look out for neighbors (96% of residents own their home) Everything is centered around the outdoors Kids are in baseball, Kidstrong, soccer, tae kwon do
I feel blessed everyday to have bought here. I still can't believe the deal we got on our property. |

Great Brooks Brothers, I really like the new Barnes and Noble just opened. We go to the LL Bean and Dick’s there. The diner inside the mall isn’t bad either. It’s also the busiest and whitest Cheesecake Factory I’ve ever seen. There is always a 30 minute wait for a table lol
