Also, who will be first to market with a really good minivan EV?
Also, are we just going to abandon EVs and go full on in on Hybrid tech?
I am seeing new gas stations go up every week.

for teslas the infrastructure is already there for most of the country people actually live in.
evs only make sense if you have at home charging anyway. the infrastructure is only good for long distance trips. and with a tesla that's not really a big deal in 2024.

probably not. there are already states that are beginning to force tesla to allow non-tesla vehicles to use their superchargers. i don't know what the state of charger access for non-tesla evs are generally, but i assume they'll catch up over time, both with their own charging stations, and tesla being forced to allow them to use theirs.
the only advantage an ICE has over an EV currently is that you don't need charging at home and can go on long distance trips much easier. i don't see how EVs will ever beat out ICEs when it comes to people who can't have access to home charging e.g. people who part on city streets. unless cities install tons of fucking ev chargers. and if battery and charging technology advances to the point where you can fill up an ev at the same speed as an ICE, then that'll solve both the home charging and distance problems.
but for a person that can have a home charger and only goes on 200+ mile trips occasionally, an EV is a complete no-brainer with the federal tax incentives. and most population centers are in lib areas with a lot of local and state incentives, which makes it an even easier decision. combine that with the maintenance costs being far less on an ev. if the government wasn't subsidizing EVs so much then it would be a harder decision if you're factoring in price.

i don't think EVs will ever make sense in america for anyone other than city commuters, who they are great for
they just don't work for people who live out in are country or the exurbs and who take regular weekend trips out of the city. adding more charging stations isn't going to solve the underlying issue of it being a huge pain in the ass and stress to have to worry about charging your car constantly

No, EV is a scam only justified by massive subsidies, and the cost isn’t coming down very much
It may make sense because globohomo will force a transition regardless
