But I will say this, I went to a very large high school (~3600+ students). The school had like 20 sports. It had every kind of extracurricular you could imagine, from FFA to Mu Alpha Theta. It had I believe 6 foreign languages (French, German, Spanish, Latin, Japanese, Mandarin) with full curriculum. It had performing arts groups (Band, Choirs, Symphony, Theater). The school also offered something like 30 different AP classes and I graduated with over 40 hours of college credit. At the same time, I went to high school with some real degenerates. People who died in HS, died shortly thereafter, went to prison, got pregnant, did this did that, etc. It was an incredible place and there was objectively a lot of opportunity if you were willing to seek it out. |
