Date: December 2nd, 2023 7:50 PM Author: Honey-headed ape property kind of remarkable to see that stuff re-emerging again. the difference this time is that there is no demand for 'aggressive foreign policy' among actual military-aged americans. there is no big military recruiting boost like the one which took place in 2001/2002. more like the opposite.
it will be interesting to see what happens if neocons gain outright power again, and then attempt to use the modern military in a serious way. would it even work? if they point the troops toward tehran and tell them to start fighting, what will actually happen? |

if the US military leadership ordered its personnel to go to war with iran, for example, enough people would literally mutiny/desert that they wouldn't be able to mount an operation. not flame. and i think the leadership actually knows and understands this
they will never try anything offensive again because there's a sort of detente with china where the united states pretends like they have a real military and china pretends like they think the US has a real military, and so china doesn't act on its military ambitions. even if both sides know the real score, there's enough uncertainty that neither side wants to risk upsetting the detente. nobody wants to risk anything that could lead to actual military conflict |

a lot of people still have this sentiment about the "deep state" and "jewish power" and "the globalists" where they see them as all-powerful and deliberately manipulating events. "the jews" and "the globalists" are not somehow magically sending the US military into world war 3 in iran. that's just obviously not ever happening. they cannot even shut down pro-palestine, anti-jewish protests that have taken over the streets in major american cities. these people have no actual conscious control of anything. nobody is fucking getting on planes and boats to go invade iran and die for israel. that shit is just not ever happening
the matrix hivemind runs everything now. US military "generals" could order an "iran invasion" and a bunch of zoomers on tiktok would make fun of it and half the military personnel just wouldn't show up. i'm not kidding. same deal if they tried a military draft. these people's ability to project hard power on a whim is completely done here
getting off-topic, but it's why their seemingly irrationally extreme response to "january 6th" was actually very rational, imo. the people who are seemingly "in power" politically are actually skating on very thin ice. we are one major act of civil disobedience away from the whole power facade coming down, and they know it. they are right to be as paranoid as they are. the only thing keeping things together right now is inertia and the fact that nobody wants to be the one to make the first move |

Now Shapiro & co. are all glorifying the Trump admin's FP in contrast to Biden's to boost Israel, which is further boosting Trump.
Irony is that if Hillary/Neocons had won in '16, Putin simply would've taken Ukraine easily in 2017-18. It was the Deep State through the Trump admin that sent excess aid to Ukraine as punishment for Russia interfering for Trump in 2016. This gave Ukraine enough aid to defend itself against Russia.
The Ukraine war drone tactics also helped Hamas get past Israeli defenses on top of Biden trying to build on Trump's Abraham Accords via Saudi-Israeli normalization that set off the Oct 7th attack.
Now Trump has set himself up to play the Nixon peace/prosperity abraham accords/secret vietnam peace plan 1968 playbook to make a comeback while Dem base is divided over LBJ/Biden refusing to give concessions on Vietnam/Israel. Biden can still theoretically neutralize this plot if he puts conditions on the Israeli aid. |
