I hope this is the right place for this pressing q. I bought two pre-made ones from home depot and need to put them in a kitchen corner so that Real Men I've hired can put countertop there. Do I just try my god damndest with a level and shims if need be, then use a stud finder and bracket everything in and put a bunch of drywall screws everywhere? What am I missing here?

No, "drywall screws" are the last thing you want to be using. They won't be nearly long enough, may not even reach the studs. Assuming you aren't putting up any plywood or any other kind of backing, you want some wood screws long enough to go through what you're mounting, the drywall, and still have a good 1.5 inches of thread to penetrate the studs. I would use star drive screws, I don't understand why square drive are allowed to be made and they should be banned. M210 stud finder will save some annoyance from missed studs.

Tyft for the screw advice. I'm retarded and wasn't considering length, just strength. Already ahead of you on the stud finder, though, silly as it felt to buy for a handful of projects. (I'm never moving again, inshallah.)

Not a thing but you may need to attach plywood to your studs, depending on the setup.

also make sure your fiance isn't there or watching until you're almost finished, then "accidentally" arrange for her to come in to see you do the easy part

YouTube. There is a certain way to level for counter tops and you need to make sure the same level was transferred to each surface getting topped.
