Date: October 13th, 2026 11:44 PM Author: Simp Like Hell I saw it again for the first time since its original theatrical release. My opinion of this movie improved substantially. It went from about a D to a B+. For some reason the elements that bothered me before weren't as bad. It's obviously not as good as Pulp Fiction. The writing isn't that tight, the dialog not as memorable, the plot non-existent and the pacing molasses. That being said it's got some funny moments. For a film that's more of a hang than a narrative you could do worse. I also think it's better than Django Unchained and The Hateful Eight. It's his best since Inglorious Basterds.
I think OUATIH could really have been improved by Quentin hiring some joke writers. There were too many meh punchlines where the whole setup is there and it's supposed to be hilarious but it's just whatever. He needs a partner to improve the script. |

I definitely liked it more than the first time I saw it. I could get into it. It was like Inherent Vice with extra slow pacing, which, ironically, made it better than Inherent Vice.
