He’s arguably less additive than Jokic on offense bc of Jokic’s passing, and statistically Jokic just is an offense machine, but Embiid’s a bigger problem on ball who creates more space on the floor for others because of his drive skills, and he’s a muuuuch better rim protector and on ball defender. If you paired him with a team full of elite perimeter defenders who could shoot threes you’d win rings every year. Ie if you gave Embiid to Pop or another good coach plus a good GM like RC Slocum they’d win 60+ games every year and he’d be well rested and dominant in the conference finals and finals. Sadly he has the retarded moron Doc Rivers as his coach and Elton Brand is even worse as a GM, But Embiid is blowing away Jokic in Real Plus Minus this year despite their plus minuses being roughly equal, so advanced stats make a pretty compelling case for Embiid. Embiid has a lot of heart and he's a great scorer, but he takes a ton more shots than Jokic and doesn't make plays for anyone else. We’ll just have to agree to disagree on supporting casts, but Embiid objectively does have a below average GM and coach. Seth Curry is a perfect player to compliment Embiid and should never have been traded to get a ball dominant, defensive liability guard. And Doc has done an awful job with rotations and managing Embiid’s minutes and the result is they will still have to beat Boston and the Bucks to even make the Finals.
