Wait, what was the 145% China tariff for again?

So that we could have more factories or something?

He was serious and they were not coming down until China acted right!

But 2 days into them being effective on arriving ships, Trump sent his team to europe to cancel them, because he actually didnt mean them. It was a bluff and a bluff called. He has literally pulled back tariffs on Canada, Mexico, China and the world as soon as they become effective.

The tariff (1) caused people to buy American goods instead of imported Chinese goods, creating more American jobs, and (2) raised revenue by imposing a tax on imported Chinese goods

Leverage so that China would be interested in negotiating. Sounds like it was successful. We’ll have to see what concessions are made in the eventual deal.

China allowing American companies into their market would be a huge win and net positive for the USA.

This is a 180 satire of a dumbass Trumptard. We brought them to the negotiating table to let them know we'd be immediately reversing all our tariffs before we destroy our economy. Thousands of US companies do business in China like Nike, Apple, Ford, McDonald's, KFC, Holiday Inn etc. China's just another market like any other.
