Not gonna lie, I have almost every EDC that I could ever want or need, as well as my end of days Winkler Utility Crusher knife, so there is not much that interested me (other than a Spyderco Salt H2, which I was about to buy but they were out of stock).
The crowd is fucking hilarious. A mix of what looks like bearded/pony tailed reddit/gamefaqs dorks, dungeons and dragons looking dorks (probably some overlap with the former), a bunch of legit fat dudes in dorky leather cowboy hats and fedoras, a bunch of weirdo "martial arts" dorks walking around doing tricks with butterfly knives, and a bunch of wannebee military dudes with legit benchmade and spyderco tattoos on their arms.
There were a lot more "fantasy" knife vendors than when I came two years ago. Like Lord of the Rings kind of shit, where the vendor people were dressed up like fucking Hobbits, etc. I don't get the point of buy this stuff.
Also saw a lot more "zombie apocalypse" kind of vendors, like swords and shit that could be used on zombies but branded with zombie logos and shit. Also lots of vendors that basically sold really expensive hammers, like smaller versions of Thor hammers that actually looked pretty nice.
Civvi had some interesting designs but they were all prototypes and not for sale yet.
I think that Winkler is by far my favorite semi-mass produced manufacturer. their stuff just feels perfect in the hand, balance, etc, they nail it.
I would overall give BLADE Show 2025 a B-
Also I literally bought an HK SP5k (probably my dream gun since I was 10yo) after the knife show so my attention was elsewhere.
