I am extremely sexually unfulfilled. What should I do about it?

My budding shitlaw and real estate empire is based in my hometown in one state, my wife lives in her hometown in another state. I go to her house on weekends and holidays and see her and my baby. Try to work remotely there one week a month.
The issue is obviously more than just one of geography. She has a very oppositional and quarrelsome personality, doesn't really enjoy sex, and is overweight. I love my kid completely, but when I'm with her and the kid, I find myself counting down the hours until it's time to leave. Sometimes I hate myself for that.
How did I get here? Met her online through some fairly random circumstances that resulted in me swiping on an app while in her city. I spent my youth striving, then spent my 30s making upnfor lost time as a Chad banging random sluts, then looked for a serious relationship in my late 30s. Despite her obvious problems, she shone like a star compared to the hellscape of modern dating because she wanted to have a family, was a religious virgin, and came from a good family.

You need to get divorced. I don't know how you don't see this. You view her as a sufficient enough vessel to bear a baby for you (perhaps you expect babies to be good looking and reasonably intelligent), and perhaps she feels the same about you. But nothing indicates you have any sort of positive relationship with her one-on-one. It's relatively easy divorce now or in 15-20 years (at most) expensive divorce after you have mostly raised your kid(s) and have zero to offer each other, and as a 50s-60s year old man have lost the window to enjoy pounding some strange. |
