If the goal is to reduce the flow of illegals, it’s obviously a major blow. Dems will never agree to a package like that again, and the GOP will never have full control of government with sufficient margin to pass a package that aggressive.
I know the GOP exists solely as a vassal to inflate Donald’s ego, so this is the outcome most trumpenprole desire, but if you’re conservative or anti-immigration it’s not a great outcome.
