i still think Talarico will win, but the answer is, prediction markets are a combination of people guessing and people trying to manipulate public opinion
some of them are. but think about it, if you were insanely rich and stood to benefit financially from a certain candidate winning, and you could pour a tiny tiny tiny fraction of your net worth into the candidate on the prediction markets to make them appear more popular, why wouldn't you?
yes, influence public opinion. MSM is always talking about prediction market odds as if they mean something about the actual chances; they're paid to do so. some independent journalists too.

retards retweeting other retards is far more influential in public discourse these days than the "MSM", and retards LOVE to give retarded updates on the latest 0.3% swing in prediction markets (see also: 78% of all pumo activity today)
It'd be an interesting question, but for the small amounts on PolyMarket, I'd have to imagine that it'd be more valuable than "advertising," for example, but idk.
exactly. we already know these people are pouring money into positive ads, attack ads, paid influencers, etc.; it's naive to think some of it isn't going into the prediction markets to pad the numbers a little bit and make candidates look more popular. this is GENERALLY probably done more on the Republican side bc their policies are EVEN more favorable to richmos but not enough to assume the bias would go that way in any given race

if you were very rich and evil and stood to benefit financially from a certain candidate winning, and you could pour a fraction of your net worth into the candidate on the prediction markets to make them appear more popular to people stupid enough to care about prediction market odds, why wouldn't you?

Granted for argument's sake. It’s your tuckerlike affinity for conspiracy theories and axis disinformation (iran does not target civilians). The old horseshoe i guess
it's stupid to automatically doubt everything i say just because you think i got some other thing/things wrong. maybe i missed something, what civilian attacks are you thinking of? are you counting the Iranian proxies like Hezbollah and Ansar Allah as "Iran"? and obviously the Hormuz stuff isn't "military" per se but they announced they were closing the strait; it's not the same as like randomly attacking schools and hospitals and infrastructure
