Before I ever knew about XOXOHTH, I registered for the PR forum back in 2004, but never really posted. After I got into NYU, I found XOXO through LSD sophomore year and started posting in 2007. I actually started posting in the college board, as the law board was a wasteland at the time due to SonicYouth spam. This was one of my earliest threads:

During this time, I was a very skinny kid with long hair. I pretty much only wore band shirts because I was a metalhead and had zero fashion sense.

But by late 2007, I had moved to the law board and became acquainted with some of the NYC posters IRL. Posting on the law board made me realize that I needed to turn my life around. I started lifting in late 2007 and, in Palladium, Earl coached me on all the major lifts and gave me lots of good pointers both on and off the board, e.g.

By 2008, I was a well known poster because the board was still reeling from the LOL-suit and there were very few board personalities. I wanted to make XOXO a friendlier place.
My first real big thread was a picture thread in which I and Blondielaw23 posted SEVERAL sign pictures. There were many notable board and off-board moments like the cutting of my hair, which Rowan personally paid for.

For my 21st birthday, I invited a couple of the NYC crew to party with me at Hooters and not even before moving to second round, at least 1 ambulance was called. Of course, I didn't let that spoil the rest of the night. By this time, NYC meetups were occuring regularly and XOXO seemed to have recovered from the LOLsuit.
After early 2009, however, I decided to focus on getting laid and thus began my XOXO sabbatical. I told myself that I wouldn't post until I got laid and by senior year I had lost my virginity to a white girl. Ironically, the same night I lost my v-card was the same night of a meetup, haha. But for some reason, I felt that I had outgrown the board so I limited myself to IRL meetups and by late 2009 I had attended fewer and fewer meetups and my last meetup was in early 2010 before I graduated, IIRC.
Immediately after I graduated from NYU in 2010, I moved to South Korea and worked for 2 years. I started grad school in 2012 and graduated last August and moved to Gangnam last summer to be closer to my office. Of course, even during my sabbatical I lurked and popped in from time to time to see what everyone was up to, but many of the posters that I had known had stopped posting or gone pumo. This fact, and a desire to discipline myself, made me purposely refrain from posting until I wrote my thesis and secured gainful employment. It was only after this that I decided the time was right for me to end my sabbatical. In late 2014, I finally resumed megaposting and to my surprise, recognized several posters I knew back in the day, but XOXO had changed significantly. There was a new generation of posters whom I did not recognize. And the sense of camaraderie during my first XOXO run was gone, presumably due to shitmods and outings.
Physically, I am still peaking. I am smaller than myself during my NYU UG days, but have a lower bodyfat %. I was careless with my diet during college and slimmed down quite a bit after coming to Korea. I still train rain or shine and have managed to keep most of my size:

I improved myself in other ways, too. I got a new wardrobe, experimented with different hairstyles, got LASEK eye surgery, got laser removal for several moles on my face, and started using cologne. But most importantly, during my time away from XOXO, I developed a better sense of my full potential and gained more confidence that comes with age and experience,something I lacked during my NYU UG days; confidence-buidling, I realized, is a never-ending process.
Amazingly enough, many of the same trolls that posted back in the day still troll to this very day, but I am posting this thread today on January 1st, 2015, New Years Day, to show that XOXO can be the source of great things, but only if you are aware of the difference between what happens in real life and what is said on this board. A major weakness of mine when I was more inexperienced was internalizing the things that I read on this board, which undermined my efforts to improve myself until I forced myself to walk away from it completely.
Finally, last night I met up with UvT and his Japanese girlfriend, who is cute as hell. I brought a ladyfriend as well and after meeting up in a izakaya joint near my house, we all probably had too much sake and soju. But mostly soju, because our first bottle of sake was $$$. We didn't manage to talk about the board much because we were in the company of our ladyfriends, but we did talk about some lulzy AGWWG stories. After ringing in the new year, I let UvT and his girl crash at my place and they left earlier this morning. I am sure UvT will be visiting this thread later tonight, but until he does, I will be more than happy to take questions, using my discretion, about the meetup or any other questions about myself, what I have been up to all these years, or anything else you want to ask.

But my god, I don't think I could ever get used to living in S Korea - 95% of the girls in the album show obvious signs of plastic surgery, and not to be a downer, but only like 1-2 girls would ever be considered remotely "attractive." I've slept with like 1/10 of the girls you have but the worst looking girl I've hooked up with is still significantly more attractive than the most attractive girl in that album.
