It can monitor when the body temperature drops a day or two before ovulation. There are also test strips she can get from Amazon to really nail the timing. (She has to pee in a cup and there’s an app to monitor it.)
It’s an old wives tail that if you do it earlier before ovulation (2-4 days) you’ll have a girl. This is apparently based on a belief that XX sperm stay around longer and are more likely to be there when the egg drops. This is called the Shettles method. We tried this with one of our kids by starting 5 days before ovulation, and then the next month we would try 4, then 3, etc. Whelp, had a boy after doing it 5 days before. |
