most things aren't inherently bad and have a legitimate purpose. when people criticize something it doesn't mean they are condemning it completely. people criticize the government all the time, but hardly anyone thinks that the government is completely bad.

a buddy of mine opened his own little PE shop. he’s the kind of guy you would want to raise your kids if you and your wife died. he’s investing in all kinds of random businesses that have like $700-1m in annual revenue but the owners are older or just tired and he shapes them up for resale.
