I've been travelling for work for about a week (poasted before, wife won't live in the same state as my business). There has been a shift in communications with my wife. Usually she is a frequent, resentful complainer when I'm gone, along with some normal conversations. But I had some issues blow at work over the last few weeks, and they've been stressful. Over the last few days, wife has shifted from complaining to.... barely communicating at all. A few texts a day saying she and our kid are OK, and that's about it.
It seems like we've turned a corner, bros. I don't want this to be the end, but I'm afraid it could be here.

Sound like you should have insisted on at least some of this, and emphasized that these care tasks aren’t connection and outsourcing them when you have means leaves more time for the important stuff like reading before bed, taking them to do cool shit on the weekends, etc. But commuting an hour each way is doable short term. You should bite that bullet and find ways to do calls and delegate on the long drives.

Had a long text exchange with her last night. At least she's talking. Basically gave me an ultimatum. Either worth remotely about half the time (not sure that would work) or she wants to move to another city in my state.
The moving to a different city thing is something that we've discussed for a while. She really hates my hometown, but she would be willing to live in a city an hour and 15 minutes away. That is a shitty daily commute but it is theoretically possible. Bigger question is whether she will resent me even more and the nagging and criticizing will go off the charts. Neither of us really knows anyone in this city, she just thinks she could stand to live there.

if you're really pulling $1M for yourself then you could prob find some better people to try to get to the 50/50 solution and cut some bullshit expenses plus your own travel to make up for it. It sounds like you and your wife though have deeper problems than just the work situation.

divorcing your husband because he work travels seems counterintuitive. sounds like she just doesn't like you.

Most people who own their own decently successful businesses end up working a lot. You are a moron.

I wasn't kidding. The only way I see to make a person "un-broken" after the world twists and turns your mind and body to want things that don't make you happy, cause you misery, make you sick, etc., is an irrational confidence and belief in the Lord and that all paths lead to good things so long as your belief in the Lord and adherence to faith is strong. It's the only way I've seen that leads life to anything other than more suffering.
Maybe other religions do this too. I don't know. For women, it may be the case that Islam really is the answer, because that poor bitch in a burka sure isn't wasting 150k a year on pointless trinkets to try and cure unhappiness and isn't pushing her man to move in a futile effort to seek some contentment in her life (a move that will obviously not solve any of her troubles).
tldr, a belief in a higher power that herself is the only way
