Full disclaimer: there are hundreds of other cent issues that you could collect (like proof issues, or issues from 2003 and beyond, or error coins). I don’t have all of those. But most people would consider this pretty complete. 1909-2002. Every business strike sans the major errors. Also, for this album, I am not displaying all 8 varieties of 1982 cents, but I have 7/8 (1982 SD copper planchet is extremely rare and only 2 known to exist).

Taking questions on completing this lifetime goal.

Whoa, cr. I think there are a few more than 180 in this book, but the ones from like 1990 on don't matter as they were mass produced on a scale that simply doesn't compare to the beginning of the series

For the Lincoln Cent series, the two errors worth collecting are the 1922 No D (not the weak D, the No D) and the 1955 Doubled Die Obverse

It is very hard to find all of them. Some of them you have to shell out the big bucks for, but that's the name of the game.

Not really. Also, US makes a ton of coins for other countries. Most coins are made here in the US probably.

Nice! I never got around to spending the cash on an 09-S VDB, but otherwise have the remaining business strikes.

I strongly suggest not storing them in the paper album long term. It's a nice presentation for the whole set, but the reactive copper may start to corrode over a period of decades. At least move to a Dansco or something (but then you'll have some holes like the 22-P):

This is a Dansco album, which is very high quality. The Dansco album you linked to, those aren’t made anymore and somewhat expensive to acquire on secondary market.

So are Whitman push albums, but they absolutely turn reactive metals over time (and impart ugly tone to silver).

The 7070s went back into production, so if small cents are discontinued (not out of stock at one retailer), they'll be back. There are also half a dozen other brands -- I like Intercept personally, but those include proof issues.

1914-D. Bought it yesterday in F15 for $272.00. Coin isn’t a stunner, but it has pretty full detail and I’m pretty sure the price on those exceeds $1k in XF grades. I didn’t want a cull and I didn’t want to break the bank. So I paid $272.00. The 1909-S VDB I got back in 1995 for $480.00. Spent all summer mowing lawns to afford it. Not a great investment but it makes me smile.
