Date: July 3rd, 2024 11:15 PM Author: electric ratface rehab The idea that all the Democrats need to do is sub in another younger candidate is pretty flawed given that Trump already had a commanding lead in the electoral college.
A new candidate (with ballot harvesting) could beat Trump, but you need a fresh start. So they'd basically need to disavow:
1. Biden's spending bills which maybe led to home prices tripling, car prices doubling, and groceries and rent up 50%
2. Biden's foreign policy, which arguably started wars in Europe and Asia and have certainly prolonged these wars.
3. Immigration. They'd have to come out super hard on this issue and Biden would actually probably have to do something pretty drastic to indicate an idealogical shift.
4. Tranny stuff. They'd need to say its wrong to give kids hormones and surgeries.
5. Vaccine mandates. They'd need to say Biden was wrong to mandate the experimental vaccines.
6. Biden's dementia itself. The answer can't just be "Here's a new person". You almost have to say, "I'm the candidate now and shame on Biden and his aides for duping the American people so long.
The bottom line is that Biden was already behind, and I feel like American's are way more likely to cut slack to the person to a lifelong servant like Biden who actually made the decisons vs some person who just showed up. So I don't think you can just swap in Kamala or Newsom unless thsoe people are willing to point the finger at Biden for fucking this stuff up. |
