I haven't had time to read it, but this guy has, and he's big on reducing immigration to Germany. He says he's very satisfied with the agreement on this point, which suggests the CDU insisted on a hard line on immigration in exchange for letting the SPD have the social benefits goodies they always seem eager to protect. Good news.

Merz touting the restricting migration benefits of the agreement, seems like his top priority as chancellor. Really good sign. The right wing of the CDU is clearly in the driver's seat.
