back when i got really bad with booze and coke, i'd sit in front of the tv every weekend night (assuming i wasn't out in someone's basement doing lines) watching youtube videos and pounding beer/doing bumps until like 4 am. i'd usually watch music videos - the queen live aid performance was an often-watched one for me. also, lots of new order.

I've watched it at least 10-15 times. It's easily in my top-5 live performances, which is insane considering I usually go with specific songs for top performances. Entire sets are too variable and you'll rarely get the utter perfection of the 1985 Live Aid performance.

Others in my top 5 are comparatively pathetic when compared to their body of work, but: Iris - Goo Goo Dolls (2004 Buffalo performance) is up there, too. I briefly dated a girl in college who went to that show; apparently it was awful because of the storms. I'll also add the 6/22/13 performance of "Spoon" by DMB w/Brandi Carlile, but only because of Jeff Coffin's performance. One of my favorite sax solos of all time.
