here's a general rule i've noticed, as someone who goes out a lot and has continued to make close new friends into my thirties: if you meet someone and one of the first things they ask you about or talk about is career-related, they're probably a boring person. if instead you talk about your hobbies and interests and random shit and just have a good time, and jobs don't come up until the second or third time you hang out, they're more likely to be a cool and interesting person. |
