Date: October 11th, 2026 6:42 PM Author: Metal Up Your Ass I've purposely been on complete information lockdown since I booked the trip. I was out in vegas twice this year before now, and I didn't go see wizard of oz or any other events, and didnt watch any videos or read reviews.
When you first see the Sphere inside, evwn before anything gets going, its wild. When you see the capabilities of the a/v for the first 5 minutes, it's completely unreal. I felt like I was a time traveler.
Metallica doesn't cut corners when it comes to their shows, so they knocked it out of the park. I can't compare it to other acts there, but I've been told by staff working the event and even Venetian employees that they killed it.
For my own hopes and wishes, they came through with flying colors because they played 2 songs ive been waiting to hear forever, on top of my favorite song, all in the same show, plus others ive never seen before.
That said, the Sphere isnt like other arenas or stadium shows and has drawbacks no matter where you are. I would say that you should absolutely go see at least one band there if you really like them.
If given the choice to see 2 more metallica shows at the Sphere or TMobile/Allegiant, I would pick the stadium over the Sphere because I don't need to repeat the novelty.
Also, 3 tallboys were $83.Fuck my ASS.
The pop up metallica experience they have at Venetian and Palazzo is cool, but also LJL at selling YETI metallica coolers for $275.
I wonder what the sphere will amount to in 3-5 years. |

First night opened with Battery and second with Blackened, which is very possibly their best song. |

So far the only younger artists who have done it are Carin Leon and a few EDM acts.
Tool feels inevitable, and that will be awesome, but I feel like they're boomer adjacent at this point. |
