Lol I honestly have no clue, but that would make sense actually. I think a lot of them view him as kind of a friendly rival, from what I’ve seen.

I love Earl tp because of his no-nonsense but warm-hearted conservahero personality: cool mind + warm heart, the clarity and warmth that only Light can bring: a virtuous pagan, from what I can tell.

That’s a good question, lol. I’m not actually AZN, just a white guy whose parents travelled to East Asia a lot on business in the 1980s and 90s (small manufacturing niche), and gave me an appreciation for their culture (so much so I wouldn’t visit because I know I wouldn’t fit in - and that’s good!)

So youre not actually Azn but the fact that he is (partially?) wins you over somewhat

Do Azn chicks giggle cheerfully at your knowledge and appreciation? Do the guys think its cool or think you're "fetishizing" their culture or whatever?

There’s something about taking the hard road in life because it’s honorable (instead of cult of victimhood grifting) that always wins me over - same reason why I like tedbeckersted. I don’t care if non-white people agree with me, but simply that they are honest about why they are here in Christendom around white people and white culture.

After that, they could ridicule me 24/7 and I wouldn’t mind, because I know it comes from a place of good faith and love of truth over ego (envy disguised as equality) or social status or whatever.

It’s funny - AZN girls loved me in high school (preppy school) and college, but not really since. Which is just as well, because I’m only attracted to white and Hispanic women for the most part.

I helped some of my shy AZN male friends in college with their self-esteem re: shy AZN girls, which I’m really proud of - people really are happiest with their own kind, and I noticed how so many of the couples I helped quasi-matchmake seemed to value my seal of approval: not because I’m white but because straight shooters are SO hard to find these days.

If I give my seal of approval (happens with white friends and family too) people know they have a good foundation of stone to stand on, instead of quicksand waiting to swallow them up.

People either trying to demoralize the competition or blow smoke up people’s behind out of pity - I’d just straight up say “you’re a 6 who is going to be very happy with that shy FOB 6 in class” and it worked!

…sorry if I’m rambling but I just love seeing people happy, which almost always happens when we embrace our humble role in God’s created order / benevolent noblesse oblige hierarchy!

WAY past my bedtime especially now that my WFH has ended, jfc…

Hope some of this has helped you in some way, my pumo brother.

A Good Year (2006) with Russell Crowe at his charismatic best, Marion Cotillard being adorably French as usual, and a delightfully wholesome 24-year-old Abbie Cornish.

Rich with substance, especially about extended family dynamics and trying to age gracefully, profoundly beautiful scenery, yet very light hearted at the same time: Frank Capra-esque.

Entertaining, educational, and elevating/edifying all at once, as Mel Gibson would say.

3 of my favorite Christian movies that may have flown under the radar:

Risen (2016) with Joseph Fiennes as a skeptical Roman investigator; it kind of made me imagine if Philip Marlowe lived in the time of Christ, yet with a more wholesome and encouraging atmosphere all around - a great balance.

It also had the guy who played Draco Malfoy in the Harry Potter movies as his lovably earnest and inexperienced young sidekick, which was 180 for some reason.

Paul, Apostle of Christ (2018) with Jim Caviezel being his usual 180 self, and Olivier Martinez in a terrific role as a cynical yet highly sensitive prison warden.

Charlton Heston Presents the Bible (1992): a short miniseries (4 episodes) with Charlton in the Holy Land being his usual easygoing benevolent Biblical patriarch / sheepdog self.

Also, not sure how many non-Catholicmos saw this one:

Mary of Nazareth (2012):

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1zPAq45g2nk

This movie was truly amazing, because it gives a fresh perspective on Mary's life, illuminates the relationship between Mary and Joseph (including Joseph's highly relatable struggles), AND includes many great scenes with Jesus (a MegaChad actor with very sensitive eyes, gorgeous guy) - this movie was a true labor of love for all involved, it was quite clear.

(Seriously, watch the trailer to this movie and I guarantee that you will want to see it, and/or want to seek Jesus, which is the whole point of Mary's and Joseph's wonderfully wholesome presence in our lives - pointing to Him, saying: "Look at what God, the Gardener of all things bright and beautiful and wholesome and determined, the Architect of Eden 2.0 and the cosmic bootcamp thereof, can do!")

It reminded me of a classic unheard of movie from the 50s with Charlton as a young Andrew Jackson, and Susan Hayward in her glamorous prime:
