There is nothing to buy except more securities in the long run.
In the short run, I want to be able to pay off my house and have enough for my kids college.
Also, in the short run, I want to have enough to comfortably go solo with my practice. We are working toward that.
I've always been an index investor. The 529 plans are the Nevada plan so those are year targeted plans, but I have always done some kind of index investing.

i would say not to bother, although i just put like 40 grand into Nvidia because i figure in 10 years that shit will be way higher than it is now. but who really knows.
put all your money into ETFs: QQQ, vanguard's s&p growth ETF, vanguard's tech ETF. shit like that. and then suck my dick.

I don’t understand this Buying High thing that people do. Don’t chase value but at least try to find something that hasn’t mooned already ffs.
And if you’ve been conservative all this time or in bonds like Tommy, wait for ITE2 ffs

If you have enough to invest in individual stocks to get a reasonably diversified portfolio without paying management fees to a middleman, then sure.
If you're an autist who can spend hours every day researching stocks to identify stocks that are undervalued and/or have above average growth potential, then maybe. But know that, at any given time, there are thousands of other autists around the world trying to do the same, and the likelihood that you will find a buying opportunity that nobody else notices is very low.
If you're trying to beat the market by gambling on a few stocks without researching and monitoring them very carefully, then probably not. There's autists who research stocks 24/7 who can't beat the market, so the likelihood that you will beat the market without doing the research is very low. If you want to gamble on a small portion of your portfolio as an adrenaline rush, then go for it, but realize that you are gambling, not investing.
