Protect primary residence and other property from Medicaid if elderly client goes into nursing home.

Shitlawyers are not happy just scamming all of us indirectly through insurance companies -- now they're scamming us indirectly as taxpayers.

Thanks shitlawyers.

Actually, OP's client depends on me to pay for her healthcare because she otherwise can't afford health insurance. Moving forward, she WILL be able to afford health insurance, but OP is running a scam so that I will have to keep paying for her healthcare.

Seems a little malpracticey to be preparing trusts for clients when you have no clue what you're doing.

I'm a lawyer, but have no experience whatsoever with shitlaw.

I supposed it's possible the standards for malpractice are lower when representing Medicaid recipients as compared to publicly traded companies.

99% of law is finding a good form or precedent and winging it. True in biglaw, true in shitlaw.

Just do what I suggested and then how much is left really. Look at all prepay options. Refurnish the home. Pay rent for years. Etc etc.

? The goal is to protect the house from being sold after client dies to repay Medicaid for nursing home costs. MAPTs are supposed to accomplish that.
