I have in many ways.

1. When car lease was up I got a smaller, more efficient car. My next car will be even smaller, maybe a Fiat 500

2. Use to take long meandering drives just to drive. When gas was 1.19 a gallon, not such a bug deal.

3. I save up trips...take care of all shopping at one time.

4. I would probably due this anyway, but consciously bought a house as close to city central as I could afford.

5. Use to go for day trips to nearby surrounding towns just because (to get BBQ, walk around, whatever). I never do this anymore.

6. My family is four hour drive away. I used to go maybe nice or twice a year to see them. Now I go once or twice a year.

7. I no long do cross country road trips. It's much cheaper to pick a destination, fly, and rent a car a drive locally.

Are you not conscious in any way about gas prices?

At what level would you start to alter behavior. Maybe not as above, bit begin to shift your driving habits a little?

I don't pay attention to gas prices at all. It's hard to say exactly when it would start altering my behavior, but I don't see it happening anytime soon. Gas just isnt a big enough part of my budget for it to matter yet.

I came here to say this - essentially, once I started buying gas with credit cards instead of cash (any of you old enough to remember gas station attendants walking around with a wad of cash and would use a special key to clear the price on the gas pump after each customer?), I stopped paying attention to gas prices (when i paid cash it mattered, because I had to consider how much cash I had on hand). I have a couple gas stations I use that are convenient to get to, and that's about all I think about it.

Listen bro, I'm going to give you a serious response here.

I think its good and fine to be cost conscious. I think it is smart to put all of your your shopping in one trip, etc. But if you are seriously foregoing a trip to see the family, or depriving yourself of your favorite bbq over GAS, maybe you should re-evaluate things.

Life is too short to measure it in gallons.

My vehicle gets 14mpg. There's a store a few blocks away where I get my groceries. I've started walking instead of driving when I just want a drink or something. And I'll actually look at gas prices when two or three gas stations are across the street from one another and one is significantly less expensive. Otherwise it doesn't affect me.

got a massive insurance rebate recently thanks to low mileage (weekend car owner)

despite my camaro ss' v8 BEAST engine, i spend pretty little on gas. easy ways to save money:

opt for lower octane gas

fill up smaller amounts at a time - fill up $20-30 usually

increase public transportation usage during peak pricing

The 2 sec time is kind of fraud and requires the car to prepare itself in a special mode. If your 911 or GT has awd it probably feels faster in reality

That’s the situation where the Plaid feels faster than any gas Supercar- when you want to go from 80 (steady Highway cruise) to 110 to pass some asshole. Nothing is better at that move.
