I recommended a song to a friend years ago, they said they did not like it. This song hit the charts like a couple weeks later and was getting radio plays. Played at clubs etc. became a hit. I just thought it was catchy, not even being a hipster about it

This same guy, started talking about this song and asking if I’ve heard it. And he wasn’t kidding. I don’t have autism I couldve told if he was fucking with me. He legitimately forgot I told him about it and was blank on the previous interaction

That just sort of made me ponder how much I’m disregarded for awhile, almost dampened the enjoyment/value of something by being the source of the recommendation

I really didn’t want to get physical. Just wanted to scare him off. In all honesty if the guy wasn’t drunk, and really wanted to, no holds barred he could beat me comatose, hold down and rape any member of my family at will. So under no illusions there. When I talk about getting the "champ" treatment it usually boils down to when I want something from someone, which ime, even if it's totally fucking innocuous, most use it as an opportunity to passive-aggressively express their disapproval by just not cooperating at all. I don't want Jocks to listen to my TV recommendations (and if I do make them it's going to be something like NCIS Los Angeles or something that I've never even watched). For an example, the Super Mario RPG remake as really dredged up memories of how hard it was to get a Ride to get the SNES original. I think I had to wait a long time until my mom was Going to Wal-Mart for something else. But alas, the game wasn't there the first time I got a Ride. And I couldn't get a friend to drive me bc video games were ignominious back then (except PS1 for early-adopers). The whole thing was just like pulling teeth. Also forget getting a Ride to the Riverchase Galleria. Parental love for Loser sons is like some bare-ass minimum shit and really only happens in a kind of facsimile like when people are watching. Like they'll go to your baseball game but fuck if they'll watch you beat Ganon when you're 8 when no one is around to judge them. And these are your parents, blood relatives ffs, now imagine the situation turned up to 11 with Job Interviewers, Friends who are Cooler than you, I mean yeah you name it. But for me, as a hipster, I was always really Cool and edgy and actually pretty guarded about who I actually recommend things to. Discuss.

Maybe it's bc I am a Prophet/Messiah but idgaf about what anyone says or thinks unless they Control Resources, and I just lambast the system that allows them said control with my ingenious social theorems. They have no legitimacy and are frauds. Like yeah I may have bombed OCI but the interviewers were Fake and had Fake Jobs and Fake GPAs.
