i've come to find that most adult trannies i have met are reasonable like you. they tend to have pretty balanced views on shit care for children, college sports, bathrooms, etc. these are the issues where divisiveness exists. and i say it's manufactured because i see mostly white lib allies claiming that denying bottom surgery to pre-teens is literally trans genocide. most trannies seem to be mostly want to just be left alone and tolerated.

The modern idea of a 'transgender person' requires every single person that interacts with that person to affirm this belief on pain of ostracization, civil liability, etc. Not even a lowly prole manager can be left alone to bully their trans employee by calling them the wrong name, pronouns, whatever. Giving Jews Saturday off is not even remotely comparable.

I compare transsexuals to an aristocracy for this reason. A samurai insulted by a commoner, e.g. by a failure to apologize after bumping into them, could cut him down immediately, no matter how rich the commoner or lowly the samurai. Is being misgendered so much more different than a bump? There are many arguments about this re: the n-word as well, of course, but that's really more of an arcane invocation of a history of submission, humiliation, defeat, etc. and is understandable imho.

Of course, to a normal person, pronouns and names really don't mean all that much, and so calling someone a woman who kind of looks like a woman and who dresses like a woman is perfectly reasonable and this issue never comes up. But if you have the view that the social treatment associated with a person's biological sex at birth is an unimpeachable Truth that can never change, it is a torturous incongruity to live with.

In this sense, I do agree that the issue is exacerbated by libs, because trying to push the idea that you should call someone like that British guy who shits himself and rapes women a woman is kind of lol. But it's definitely reasonable if you're a 'rw bro' to fight on the trans issue even for passable trannies. No one likes to feel like they are being forced to lie. Even worse if you feel like you're basically being forced into participating in someone's sex fetish.
