80%+ of the employees are female. there's clearly an enormous amount of dead weight and redundancy. almost none of these women do anything useful or necessary to the functioning of the businesses. they have the office decorated like a kindergarten classroom, with ridiculous little knick-knacks and 'motivational posters' and frilly things everywhere. there are high-caloric, high-carb snacks strewn about everywhere. the heat is turned up to what feels like around 74 degrees. almost all of the women are overweight, many significantly so. at any given time, there is at least one "meeting" going on where nothing is getting done

i have personally had to work in an environment like this in the past. i know how horrifying and demoralizing it is. men who are forced to exist in this environment for an extended period of time gradually psychologically and even physically break down and succumb to it, coping with a combination of numbness, grim acceptance, and passive neutering

when i've been in these offices recently i've felt a strong physiological and psychological reaction. a sort of variation on the fight or flight response. a very strong urge to physically assert myself, like a surge of masculine energy that instinctively needs to get out and attempt to subjugate and Order its surroundings. i liken it to a body's immune response against an invading pathogen. i realized that in the past, when i've had to exist in that environment on a daily basis, i'd succumbed like other men and gradually suppressed this healthy, instinctual response until it withered away in despair

most everyone acknowledges this reality of the modern world but people brush it aside and put it out of sight and out of mind because it's so uncomfortable (for men) and there's nothing we can really do about it, so we just do our male thing and grin and bear it. but this is seriously fucked up and men are going to continue to avoid women extracurricularly for as long as this dynamic continues to dominate their lives
