What monitors do you plug into when you're traveling?
Going between different offices?
If so, don't you need to be able to work on the plane too?

Laptops can indeed be powerful enough to handle multiple monitors, including three DisplayPort (DP) connections, but it depends on the specific model and its specifications. High-end laptops, especially those designed for gaming or professional use, often come with discrete GPUs (like NVIDIA or AMD) and multiple video output ports, including HDMI, USB-C with DisplayPort capabilities, or even mini DisplayPort. Some laptops may not have three native DP ports but can still connect to multiple monitors using adapters or docking stations that support multiple displays via a single USB-C or Thunderbolt 3/4 port.
When considering portability, laptops generally offer a more integrated and compact solution compared to carrying a mini PC and an iPad. However, if the mini PC already meets your performance needs, you might consider a smaller, more compact model or a travel case to reduce bulk.
In summary, a high-end laptop could replace your current setup and handle multiple monitors, but you should check the specific model's specs to ensure it meets your requirements for power and connectivity.
