Are the big games still COD, WOW, Fortnite? Things like that?

And is the essential activity wandering a map and getting in gunfights?

Starting to really think AI + feminism will completely lock young men out of employment starting in about 4 years. Not just "a tough hiring market", but rather that they will never have careers, ever.

Which makes me think that video-gaming will probably explode in popularity and be the bulk of what 20-30s men do every day, maybe for the rest of theyre lives.

And got me wondering what life, in particular, video games offer them. Is it the experience of wandering, sniping, and shooting opponents? Is that the optimized male fantasy life?

The stuff you’re talking about out isn’t in the “wait 5 years,” category.

I remember my internal dialogue during ITE was basically “if a Woman or a URM or an Indian can do the job I’m not getting it but dammit I still have to Interview…” and it was true then and it’s true now. Losers Lose.

Yes but some % of ITErs found employment with advancement possibilities.

I think the 5 year idea is that something like 80-90% of dudes find themselves completely and totally locked out of things that are not DoorDash.

but more to the point, as a gaming MFE, Im curious about your perspective. if you optimized a game for a 32 year old nowork, would it be a solitary avatar wandering a map to shoot enemies? Is the reason this is every game plot because it has been optimized already? a solved problem

I'm not Cowgod, but in a lot of ways you can just look at a game like GTA 5 online (all men) and even Red Dead Redemption 2. Sense of adventure + goals to accomplish + gun fights. GTA 6 may legit never come out because they make like $1 billion in profit on GTA 5 online alone.

You are one of my favorite poasters, but I think you have AI backwards in this regard. AI is likely to nuke a huge portion of female-centric jobs. It'll take a decade, but the initial hiring pipeline for email girls is going to disappear completely.

That and I think we will see a lot of "offline" stuff emerge that is hard to foresee now. People will eventually "monetize" (sorry) the nostalgia that exists for the 90s and 2000s.

This will all benefit men, IMO.
