first, obviously, murder is awful.
second, there was a time when the hip people viewed McCartney as trite and tripe while Lennon was edgy and deep. the estimation of Lennon has dropped and McCartney has soared.

George Martin was correct the real difference between the Beatles and the rest of the other musicians is that the Beatles were intelligent highly intelligent and intellectually curious.. McCartney was not really a bookworm or anything but he finished in the top 10% of his class on an IQ test.. Lennon was of course highly intelligent but his personality his personality force was even higher than his intelligence.. but he had some kind of personality disorder..
Lennon once said that McCartney's song "and I love her" was his first "the long and winding road"
