Some say free cash will help people displaced by artificial intelligence become entrepreneurs and better parents. Don’t hold out your hopes

If people just vote Dem across the board we will have UBI, free healthcare, and be able to save our social security benefits

lmao, yeah, because that's definitely what you see in places where Ds run everything like California. No wealth inequality, medical care is free and widely available, and just generally fantastic management. No crime or homeless people.

Real talk: look at countries that historically have had fantastic social safety nets like France and Scandinavia. The trend has been to cut them because it has been attracting the wrong people and it produces dystopia rather than utopia. You can have great welfare in a place where people fit a particular characteristics: a society where people are similar and naturally driven, not driven to crime or corruption, with no immigration. A place like Japan might be able to make it work. But in modern clown world it is DOA.
