An underdog beating a favorite three times in a row might cause you to update your priors (maybe this team is a uniquely bad matchup, or maybe the underdog really was the better team), but you might also chalk it up to variance.
I don't think it would be very hard to find past instances of a clearly inferior team beating a better team three times in a row. |
