At any rate, I have to assume that she hoped that people would just "believe women" and not actually take the time to read any of these court documents. The husband may have been an asshole, but this one is clearly a certifiable nut job.
Just from skimming court documents for 20-30 minutes, here is a list of the insane shit this woman did that is not disputed:
1) Repeatedly violated a court order not to talk about the divorce or disparage her husband on social media.
2) Repeatedly "accidentally" ran into the kids in public despite a court order saying she could not have any contact with them (she doesn't dispute this; she literally tries to claim that it was an accident in her court filings).
3) Was represented by around 12 different attorneys over the course of this shit show. (In my experience, a client who has fired multiple attorneys is a huge red flag.)
4) Repeatedly got into trouble for mouthing off to various judges during court proceedings. (And she is an attorney, so she should know better.)
5) Filed a lawsuit alleging that the husband, all of the judges on the case, the children's attorney, and all of the therapists who evaluated the children were engaged in a huge conspiracy to destroy her life with false accusations.
This woman absolutely screams BPD to me. My BPD ex actually used to call me nasty names and literally smash my belongings to try to get me angry so she could record me and accuse me of being "abusive." I'm not saying that's what happened here, but it certainly fits the pattern. Combine that with a complete meltdown after being abandoned (and going to extreme lengths to contact her husband/kids after being abandoned), accusing every other person in the proceedings of conspiring against her, and threatening (and possibly actually committing?) suicide, this is all classic BPD.
Maybe this dude is in fact an abusive asshole. Or maybe she did the same thing as my ex where she pushed his buttons until she got a video to make him look bad. But as others said, it's extremely rare for family courts to even give primary custody to a father. Giving a father sole custody with an order that the mother doesn't have contact with the children just doesn't happen unless the mother is horribly unfit as a parent (and probably mentally ill/dangerous).
Also, for the record, I am generally a shitlib who is in the "believe women" camp. But I felt like there had to be more to this story. I just thought I should skim the court filings before I tried to publicly crucify this dude. After I did that, I am 100% on his side. |

But what he actually said in that email was something along the lines of, "You know that she has fired her last 11 attorneys and is currently being sued by one of them for $250k in unpaid legal bills, right?" And I believe that both of those statements are factually true. If you wanted to be charitable, he was trying to warn a friend about a problem client rather than fucking over his ex-wife.

Also the unpaid bills really cuts against the argument you or someone else made earlier that she had just as many resources as him through the community estate to in effect purchase the result each was seeking. I think that was probably not true based on the facts in this case. There was some court filing or other showing her asking him to pay past due maintenance. |

It's definitely inappropriate, but not exactly the same thing. And he didn't say to drop her as a client. It was just a warning that she had fired numerous other attorneys without paying them.
And JFC are you claiming that the divorce court simply cut her off from all marital assets while they duked it out in court? Have you ever done a divorce case in your life? That's not how family law works. Even if you buy her claim that she was broke (and it should be noted that she lost her job because she violated a court order and showed up at her daughter's school even though she was ordered not to), she could have petitioned to use some of the frozen marital accounts to pay her legal bills. The fact that she never did that suggests that she thought it was okay to stop paying her attorneys when she got mad at them (which may partly explain why should we went through at least 12 of them). |

To be clear, I think he is most likely also an asshole and could use some anger management classes. But he's not the one who violated multiple court orders, repeatedly screamed at judges in the middle of court hearings, fired 12 attorneys, or filed a lawsuit accusing all the parties in the case of conspiring against her. When the only evidence of this purported "abuse" comes from a woman who is clearly severely mentally ill, I'm going to want to see more than a few edited TikTok videos before I try to crucify the guy. |
