all apartments in this complex have been converted to attics. the "downstairs" is a thin concrete tube that you have to squeeze through to get outside. occasionally people get stuck in the tubes; there's only one per floor and we all have to share the space, sometimes simultaneously. the building owner (10 Attica) claims this was a necessity due to zoning laws set by the Blasio administration.
