Save I was in Gabon at the beginning of May 2025. Although I already had the visa in my passport they would not let me immigrate unless I provide them with a local contact, who comes to the airport in person and signs some documents where this person takes responsibilty for you. Never happened to me anywhere else. Just be aware that you might be denied immigration without a local contact. Apparently the rules change all the times, so even the embassies don´t know, otherwise, they would not have issued the visa, just with a hotel reservation. |
