In are country biglaw and inhouse support staff don’t seem nearly as beaten down. You will often talk with them about their lives and their kids and it feels like a normal conversation between adults like I would have with parents at school or at an activity on the weekend. But here in high COL coastal elite land their entire bearing is so much more meek and servile and downtrodden. It’s crazy to realize how much of it is driven by schools and real estate, along with ignorance/active and mendacious indifference of boomer overlords.
