We should have an XOXO creative challenge to see who can write the most outrageous parody of shitlibbery and get it published. Entries in the competition will be scored in the level of parity and the lib prestige of the publication it is published in.
I’m working on a piece now focused on the inherent racism of front lawns. I am wrapping the story around the connection to plantations, how dandelions resemble cotton and bring up imagery of slavery, and the slavery background of the Olmsted brothers (no idea if true) who are the fathers of the modern front yard. I hope to get it published in Better Homes and Gardens.
