In order:

Super-Intelligence Tier (Beyond Contemporary Humans)

🧠 Gauss, Leibniz, Grothendieck

🧠 Genius Tier (Created New Fields, Ahead of Their Time)

Galois, Cauchy, Riemann, Euler, Hilbert

🧠 Reality Shapers (Redefined Physical & Cognitive Laws)

Newton, Einstein, Maxwell, Descartes

🧠 Foundation Builders (Shaped Western Thought)

Plato, Aristotle

Seethe all you want about Galois above Cauchy but he died at 20 in a duel and wrote the future of math in a single night before his death. Highest IQ Chad of all time. Basically like a classic xo poaster who got hammered before taking the LSAT cold after a night out slaying and copped a 180

Like a recursive function in comp sci. Important because linear stepwise thinking isn’t as important as continuously digging deeper and breaking through to a new paradigm

i more or less understand what recursion means in programming, but i'm not sure it applies to the kind of thinking you're talking about. in any case, newton completely shattered existing paradigms and founded new fields no less than anyone else on this list, so i'm not sure i buy this idea.

Perhaps I should have been more clear. It’s a category error to assume all paradigm shifts are from recursive thinking (or that recursion in programming is a perfect analogy for recursive thinking). Newton did not use recursion as a thinking method—he took classical Euclidean assumptions and extended them in a straight line. He did not recursively question the nature of mathematics, space, or measurement itself. Newton shattered paradigms but did so within a fundamentally classical framework—his work assumed space, time, and motion were absolute. He formulated new laws but did not recursively interrogate the underlying nature of those laws.

the INTJ/mathematic genius types, who are basically raw processing machines, are going to be devalued and made redundant in the AI age.

INTP/conceptualist/visionary types are poised to inherit the earth.
